Ramallah – February 17, 2026 Major General Iyad Barakat, Commander of the Customs Police, received Major General Musa Jaradat, Director of the Civil Peace Department at the Preventive Security Service, and Archimandrite Abdullah Yulio, a member of the Palestinian Central Council, and their accompanying delegation at his office at the Customs Police headquarters in Ramallah on Tuesday.

During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between the two sides, contributing to the consolidation of civil peace and the support of social stability. They also discussed mechanisms for joint action on issues of mutual interest.

Major General Barakat emphasized the importance of integrating the roles of various official, civil, and religious institutions, given its impact on strengthening security and stability and protecting the social fabric. He stressed the Customs Police's readiness to continue cooperation in the public interest.

For their part, the guests commended the important role played by the Customs Police in protecting the health and safety of citizens and controlling the markets to prevent the sale of counterfeit goods.
