Ramallah – February 17, 2026 In the presence of the Governor of Bethlehem Governorate, Mr. Muhammad Taha, the Director of the Customs Police Directorate in Bethlehem Governorate, Colonel Abdul Karim Al-Basayta, participated today, Tuesday, in an inspection tour of the city's markets in anticipation of the holy month of Ramadan. Security officials also participated in the tour.

The tour aimed to emphasize to shop owners and butchers the necessity of adhering to price regulations and displaying them clearly to the public, as well as complying with health and safety standards, thus ensuring the protection of consumers' rights and well-being. Participants affirmed that these inspection tours will continue throughout the holy month to reinforce compliance among merchants, contributing to market stability and the availability of goods at fair prices and quality.
