Ramallah – February 18, 2026 The Director of the Social Interaction and Civil Peace Department at the Customs Police, Brigadier General Saed Sartawi, and his accompanying delegation met today, Tuesday, with the President of Nablus University for Vocational and Technical Education, Dr. Dirar Aliyan, to enhance cooperation and communication between the two sides.
The University President praised the vital role played by the Customs Police in protecting food and health security, emphasizing the importance of its efforts in safeguarding the national economy and preserving the safety of citizens.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Brigadier General Sartawi honored the University President in recognition of his efforts and distinguished contributions to the education sector and his role in strengthening constructive cooperation among national institutions.
As part of the Customs Police's community programs, and based on the directives of the Director of the Customs Police, Major General Iyad Barakat, the Social Interaction and Civil Peace Department visited a number of retired officers of the Customs Police, honoring them in appreciation of their dedicated service throughout their years of work and their contributions to consolidating the institutional work process and strengthening the Customs Police's mission to serve the nation and its citizens. Brigadier General Sartawi affirmed the agency’s continued commitment to implementing community and humanitarian outreach initiatives, reflecting the leadership’s keenness to instill values of loyalty and appreciation for its members, and to strengthen the spirit of belonging and giving. He stressed that honoring retirees represents a national duty and a message of appreciation for their distinguished professional careers.
