Customs Police Participate in Inspection Tour of Markets in Tubas Governorate

 

Ramallah, February 18, 2026 In the presence of the Governor of Tubas Governorate, Mr. Ahmed Al-Asaad, the Deputy Director of the Customs Police Directorate in Tubas Governorate, Major Yousef Anjas, participated today, Wednesday, in a field inspection tour of markets and shops in the city of Tubas. This tour, which coincided with the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, aimed to assess the availability of basic commodities and the extent to which merchants are adhering to price and quality standards.

The tour was conducted in the presence of the Secretary of the Fatah Movement in the Governorate, Mahmoud Sawafteh; the Mayor of Tubas, Mahmoud Daraghmeh; the Director of the Chamber of Commerce, Maan Sawafteh; the Coordinator of the Health Committee, Engineer Sami Daraghmeh; as well as directors of security agencies and members of the Health Committee.

The tour aimed to emphasize to shop owners and butchers the necessity of adhering to and displaying prices for the public, and of complying with health and safety regulations, thus ensuring the protection of consumers' rights and well-being. Participants affirmed that these monitoring tours will continue throughout the holy month to reinforce compliance among merchants, contributing to market stability and the availability of goods at fair prices and quality.
