Ramallah – February 19, 2026: During inspection tours of shops and markets, the Customs Police, in cooperation with the relevant departments in the Ministries of National Economy and Health, seized nearly 700 kg of substandard sweets in Jenin Governorate on Thursday. The sweets contained titanium dioxide, posing a risk to public health and safety.
Consequently, the relevant authorities ordered the destruction of the seized quantity using safe and hygienic methods and the completion of all necessary legal procedures.
The Customs Police urges citizens to report any materials suspected of being harmful to public health by calling the toll-free number 132 or through the agency's official Facebook page.
