Ramallah - February 23, 2026: In the presence of the Governor of Salfit Governorate, Mustafa Taqatqa, and His Excellency the Minister of National Economy, Muhammad Al-Amour, the Director of the Customs Police in Salfit Governorate, Lieutenant Colonel Tariq Wahish, participated today, Monday, in welcoming His Excellency Minister Al-Amour and in the field tour that included the governorate's markets and shops. The tour was also attended by the head and members of the Salfit Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The tour aimed to assess the extent to which merchants are adhering to the announced prices of basic commodities and to ensure the availability of safe and high-quality products for citizens.

Prior to the start of the tour, the participants met at the Governorate headquarters, where they discussed a number of related economic issues and mechanisms for strengthening cooperation between the relevant authorities to regulate the market.

The importance of regulating markets, protecting consumers, preventing monopolies, and considering the living conditions of our people was emphasized. The efforts exerted by the teams of the Public Health and Safety Committee in the governorate and the monitoring and inspection teams in controlling and regulating the market were also highlighted.
