Ramallah, February 24, 2026 - President Mahmoud Abbas received the 2025 annual report of the Customs Police on Tuesday, during a meeting with Major General Iyad Barakat and the agency's leadership at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah.

Major General Barakat reviewed the report's key findings and the achievements of the Customs Police in protecting the national economy and strengthening the rule of law. He also discussed development plans aimed at improving performance efficiency and enhancing coordination with relevant entities.

President Abbas commended the efforts of the Customs Police, emphasizing the importance of continuing to work with a spirit of national responsibility to protect the national economy, which will positively impact the resilience of the Palestinian people.
