Ramallah – March 18, 2026: During a routine patrol, the Customs Police seized a truck loaded with 20 tons of solid waste and debris from Israel. The waste was intended for dumping on Palestinian-owned land in the Bethlehem Governorate and is considered hazardous to the Palestinian environment.

The relevant department at the Environmental Quality Authority was summoned and ordered the seized materials to be returned to their source and for legal procedures to be completed.

The Customs Police urges citizens to cooperate and report any attempts to import waste or debris from the Israeli side, in order to protect the environment and public health.
