Nearly 34 tons of expired goods were seized last week in cooperation with partner agencies.

The most prominent cases are as follows:

29 cases in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance, aimed at improving state revenues and bolstering the treasury. These cases included:

- 21 tax and customs cases, with the taxpayers referred to the Ministry to complete their commercial transactions.

- Two cases involving goods arriving from Israel without proper documentation.

- Six cases related to smuggled and prohibited tobacco.

21 cases in cooperation with the Ministries of National Economy and Health, aimed at preventing the spread of illegal goods. The most prominent of these cases included:

- The seizure of nearly 34 tons of expired and unfit-for-human-consumption goods (food, energy drinks, and cosmetics), which were dealt with according to the law.

- The seizure of 91 packages and 16 kg of prohibited stimulants and slimming products, which were handed over to the relevant authorities.

- The seizure of 134 prohibited bead toys, which were handed over to the relevant authorities. - Eight tons of dates, prohibited from circulation as they originated from settlements, were seized and handed over to the relevant authorities.

In a separate case, in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, 11 tons of vegetables were seized for lacking the required agricultural transport permit and were handed over to the relevant authorities.

The Customs Authority urges citizens to report smuggled, spoiled, or counterfeit goods, price manipulation, or monopolistic practices by calling the toll-free number 132 or contacting the Authority through its official Facebook page.
