Nearly 2 Tons of Unfit Walnuts, Chestnuts, and Ginger Seized in Nablus

 

Ramallah - April 5, 2026: During inspection tours of shops and markets, the Customs Police, in cooperation with the relevant department at the Ministry of Industry, seized nearly 2 tons of walnuts, chestnuts, and ginger unfit for consumption in Nablus on Sunday. The produce showed signs of spoilage, and its consumption could pose significant health risks to consumers.

In the same context, approximately 130 kilograms of expired food products were also seized.

Consequently, the relevant authorities ordered the destruction of the aforementioned quantities and the completion of all necessary legal procedures.
