Ramallah - May 10, 2026: Based on information received, the Customs Police, in cooperation with the relevant department at the Ministry of Health, shut down a sweets factory in Bethlehem Governorate today, Sunday, due to its failure to meet the minimum required health and environmental safety standards.
Consequently, the relevant department ordered the factory to cease operations until its legal status is rectified and all necessary legal procedures are completed.
In a separate incident, during inspection tours of shops and markets, the Customs Police, in cooperation with the relevant department at the Ministry of Health, seized 700 kilograms of sweets and ice cream unfit for consumption due to their expiration dates. The relevant department ordered the destruction of the entire quantity.
