Approximately 4.25 tons of expired food products were seized last week in cooperation with partner agencies

The most prominent cases are as follows:

44 cases in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance, aimed at improving state revenues and bolstering the treasury. These cases resulted in the seizure of:

- 8 tax and customs cases, with the taxpayers referred to the Ministry to complete their commercial transactions.

- 36 cases related to smuggled and prohibited tobacco.

16 cases in cooperation with the Ministries of National Economy and Health, aimed at preventing the spread of illegal goods. The most prominent of these cases included:

- The seizure of approximately 4.25 tons of expired and unfit-for-human-consumption food products, which were subsequently destroyed.

- The seizure of 13 kg of prohibited sexual stimulants.

Two cases in cooperation with the Environmental Quality Authority, during which the following were seized:

- Approximately 800 kg of medical waste and 40 tons of construction waste originating from Israel, in violation of agreements and laws. These materials were returned to their source. The Customs Authority calls on citizens to report smuggled, spoiled, or counterfeit goods, price manipulation of products, or monopolies, by calling the toll-free number 132 or through the Authority’s official page on the social networking site (Facebook).
