Ramallah, July 8, 2026 – Colonel Ibrahim Ayash, Director of Public Relations and Media at the Customs Police, and his accompanying delegation, met with Dr. Yousef Asfour, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab American University, at the university's campus in the Al-Rayhan neighborhood of Ramallah, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation and develop the partnership between the two sides.

Dr. Asfour praised the role of the Customs Police in protecting the national economy, commending the progress the agency has witnessed under the leadership of Major General Iyad Barakat and its achievements at both the institutional and operational levels.

For his part, Colonel Ayash praised the role of the Arab American University in disseminating knowledge and culture and its contribution to providing Palestinian society with qualified scientific expertise in various disciplines. In the same context, Colonel Ibrahim Ayash and his accompanying delegation met with the President of the University, Dr. Baraa Asfour, in the presence of the Director General of the Arab American University Company, Mr. Faleh Abu Ara, where an agreement was reached to prepare a joint cooperation agreement between the two sides, to implement awareness and training programs that serve the interests of both parties, and contribute to strengthening the partnership and developing cooperation between the Customs Control Authority and the Arab American University.
