Ramallah - July 12, 2026 Based on intelligence, field monitoring, and surveillance to combat smuggling operations, the Customs Police seized a truck loaded with nine tons of construction waste from Israel on Sunday. The waste was intended for dumping on Palestinian-owned land in Qalqilya Governorate and is considered hazardous to the Palestinian environment.

The seized materials were impounded pending the arrival of representatives from the Environmental Quality Authority and the Palestinian Civil Liaison Committee to return them to their source in accordance with international agreements and to complete the necessary legal procedures.
