Customs Police Thwart Smuggling of 38,000 Liters of Fuel in Bethlehem

 

Ramallah - July 19, 2026 As part of joint security operations and in cooperation with the Preventive Security Service and the Palestinian Police, the Customs Police, in its ongoing efforts to combat fuel smuggling and protect the national economy, and with the support of the National Security Forces and the security establishment, seized a tanker truck in Bethlehem Governorate carrying approximately 38,000 liters of smuggled fuel on Sunday.

The Customs Police confirms that the seized fuel has been impounded, and the necessary legal procedures are being completed in accordance with regulations, in preparation for referring the case to the competent authorities to take the appropriate legal action.

The Customs Police also emphasized the continuation of its monitoring campaigns in cooperation with the security establishment and relevant authorities to pursue fuel smugglers and anyone attempting to harm the national economy or circumvent applicable laws and regulations.
