Ramallah - July 21, 2026 As the announcement of the high school graduation results approaches, the Customs Police emphasizes that fireworks are not a means of celebration, but rather pose a real danger to the lives and safety of citizens and threaten public order, due to the injuries, accidents, and property damage they can cause.

The Customs Police calls upon all citizens, merchants, and shop owners to refrain from selling, purchasing, trading, or using fireworks, out of national and social responsibility and in the interest of everyone's safety.

The Customs Police affirms that it will continue, in cooperation and coordination with relevant civilian and security partners, to implement its monitoring campaigns to combat the trade in fireworks and will take legal action against anyone proven to be involved in selling, possessing, or promoting them, in order to curb this phenomenon and protect the security and safety of citizens. Given the difficult national and humanitarian circumstances our people are facing in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, national and moral responsibility dictates that our celebration of our children's success be a civilized and safe one, reflecting the values ​​of our society and avoiding anything that could endanger the lives of others.
