Ramallah, July 22, 2026 - The Commander of the Customs Police, Major General Iyad Barakat, received the Palestinian Military Attaché to the People's Republic of Bangladesh, Lieutenant Colonel Mahfouz Amer, at his office on Wednesday.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance cooperation and coordination in areas of mutual interest, particularly in training, capacity building, and the exchange of expertise, which contributes to developing competencies and strengthening joint efforts.
Major General Barakat welcomed Lieutenant Colonel Amer, praising the role of the Palestinian military attachés in strengthening relations with brotherly and friendly countries, and emphasizing the importance of continued communication and coordination to serve common interests.
For his part, Lieutenant Colonel Amer commended the efforts of the Customs Police in protecting the national economy, combating smuggling, and promoting the rule of law. He praised the professional and patriotic role played by the agency and stressed the importance of continuing cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
