Customs Police Participate in Meeting to Discuss Environmental Issues in Hebron Governorate

Ramallah, August 12, 2026 - Major Ismail Al-Mahdi, Deputy Director of the Customs Police in Hebron Governorate, participated in an expanded meeting held today, Wednesday, at the Governorate headquarters. The meeting, chaired by Hebron Governor Khaled Doudin and Head of the Environmental Quality Authority, Eng. Zaghloul Samhan, addressed the current state of environmental issues in the governorate, the challenges it faces, and ways to address them.

The meeting discussed several environmental issues and challenges, most notably hazardous waste, stray dogs, cesspools, the burning of copper and solar panels, pollution monitoring and measurement equipment, industrial zones and structural plans, and ways to develop practical solutions to address these issues. The aim is to protect natural resources, improve the quality of life for citizens, and achieve sustainable environmental development.
