Ramallah - August 16, 2026 The Commander of the Palestinian National Security Forces, who also serves as the General Supervisor of Public Relations and Media in the security establishment, met today at his office in Ramallah with the Higher Committee for Public Relations and Media in the security forces.

The meeting addressed the latest developments and the challenges and difficulties facing the Palestinian people under the current political, field, and humanitarian conditions. He emphasized the importance of the security establishment continuing its national role in serving the Palestinian people, strengthening their resilience, protecting national institutions, and maintaining public order.

The meeting also discussed preparations for the upcoming legislative elections and the role of the security establishment in providing a safe and suitable environment for the electoral process. This includes ensuring the protection of voters, candidates, and polling stations, maintaining public order in accordance with the law, and guaranteeing the integrity and transparency of the elections.

The Commander stressed the importance of unifying efforts and media messaging within the security establishment, enhancing coordination and integration among the various agencies, and unifying media messages to align with the requirements of the next phase and strengthen the presence of the security establishment and its national role in serving the citizens.
