Ramallah – August 21, 2026 – During a routine patrol, the Customs Police in Salfit Governorate seized a vehicle with Israeli license plates on Friday. The vehicle, which was not refrigerated and was not equipped for transporting meat, contained 600 kg of turkey meat without official documentation. The meat was deemed unfit for human consumption due to signs of spoilage and a foul odor, posing a risk to public health and safety.

After inspecting the meat, the relevant authorities ordered its destruction using safe and sanitary methods, and legal procedures were initiated accordingly.
