Ramallah – September 14, 2026: The Director of the Customs Police in Bethlehem Governorate, Colonel Abdul Karim Basayta, participated today, Monday, in welcoming Lieutenant General Hajj Ismail Jabr—Assistant to the Supreme Commander of Security Forces and Advisor to the President on Governorate Affairs—at the Governorate headquarters. The meeting was attended by the Governor of Bethlehem, Mr. Mohammed Taha, and directors of the security establishment.
During the meeting, discussions focused on the general situation in Bethlehem Governorate, the latest developments on the ground, and mechanisms to enhance coordination and integration between the security establishment and the Governorate. These efforts aim to consolidate security and stability and bolster the steadfastness of citizens in the face of current challenges.
Lieutenant General Hajj Jabr emphasized the importance of continued coordination among various official institutions and security agencies. He highlighted that such cooperation strengthens citizen resilience, preserves civil peace, and upholds the rule of law, in accordance with the directives of His Excellency President Mahmoud Abbas aimed at serving the Palestinian people.
