Ramallah – September 20, 2026: Major General Iyad Barakat, Commander of the Customs Police, received a copy of the master’s thesis submitted by Colonel Ali Al-Hajj Muhammad, the agency’s Director of Finance, at his office in Ramallah and Al-Bireh on Sunday.
The thesis is titled: "The Role of Tax Administration in Income Tax Collection and the Impact of Its Contribution on the General Budget in Palestine."
Major General Barakat praised this academic achievement, noting that it reflects the agency personnel's commitment to scientific and academic excellence alongside professional and field excellence. He emphasized that the agency's leadership attaches great importance to supporting the educational and research endeavors of its members.
For his part, Colonel Ali Al-Hajj expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the agency's leadership and to Major General Iyad Barakat for their continuous support and encouragement. He explained that his thesis aims to highlight the importance of tax administration efficiency in improving income tax collection and its role in supporting and bolstering the state's general budget.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Colonel Al-Hajj presented a commemorative plaque to Major General Iyad Barakat in recognition of his ongoing support for scientific research and the development of the agency.
