Ramallah – September 24, 2026: Major General Iyad Barakat, Commander of the Customs Police, received the Minister of National Economy, Mr. Mohammad Al-Amour, on Thursday at the agency’s headquarters in Ramallah. The meeting took place within the framework of strengthening existing cooperation and coordination between the two parties.
Major General Barakat welcomed Minister Al-Amour and outlined the agency’s key plans and future directions, as well as its role in protecting the national economy and enhancing market oversight—efforts that contribute to consumer protection and support the work of relevant government bodies.
Minister Al-Amour commended the work of the Customs Police and the efforts exerted in carrying out its duties. He emphasized the importance of continued cooperation and coordination between the Ministry of National Economy and the agency regarding various relevant issues and files, aiming to foster operational synergy and safeguard the public interest.
