Customs Police Uncover Illegal Cleaning Product Manufacturing and Packaging Facility in Salfit Governorate

Ramallah – October 1, 2026: Following joint security operations, the Customs Police—in cooperation with the Police, the relevant authority within the Ministry of National Economy, and with support from the broader security apparatus—uncovered an illegal facility for the manufacturing and packaging of cleaning products. The facility was located in a town west of Salfit, within the Salfit Governorate.
Inspection and investigation revealed that the facility lacked the necessary licenses from the Ministry of National Economy. Furthermore, it was found to be using counterfeit and forged trademarks on its products—a violation of laws and regulations that poses a risk to public health and safety, while also infringing upon commercial property rights.
Consequently, authorities seized 2,000 liters of cleaning products, 1,190 empty containers, 8 sacks of raw chlorine, and a quantity of counterfeit product labels. The seized items have been placed under the custody of the competent authority, and the case has been referred to the Public Prosecution to complete the necessary legal proceedings in accordance with the law.
