Ramallah – October 15, 2026 – Today, Thursday, the Commander of the Customs Police, Major General Iyad Barakat, received the CEO of the Palestinian Industrial Estates and Free Zones Authority (PIEFZA), Eng. Khaled Al-Amleh, at his office in the Customs Police headquarters in Ramallah.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to enhance mutual cooperation and develop coordination mechanisms between the two institutions. These efforts aim to support national industry, protect local products, and improve the investment environment within industrial estates and free zones—all in service of the public interest and the national economy.
For his part, Eng. Khaled Al-Amleh commended the significant efforts made by the Customs Police to safeguard the national economy, support local products, ensure food security for the Palestinian people, and combat tax and customs evasion and smuggling.
