Maj. Gen. Barakat explained to Gesdreff the mechanism of work of the customs police apparatus, which focuses on maintaining economic, food and health security and collecting revenues to supplement the state treasury. He explained the stages of establishment and development of the apparatus, the capabilities and logistics available to carry out the work entrusted to it, and the challenges and difficulties facing the work of the apparatus.
For his part, Jasref thanked Major General / Barakat for the good reception and appreciated the efforts of the apparatus, and pointed out the importance of strengthening joint relations and exchanging experiences and knowledge, and the need to support the apparatus and develop it logistically and training to return to the general benefit of the Palestinian people.
At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to hold other meetings with specialists from both sides to discuss plans to develop work and enhance joint cooperation.
