Ramallah _ 31/8/2022 The Commander of the Customs Police, Major General Iyad Barakat, received today, Wednesday, in his office in Ramallah, the Chargé d'Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman to the State of Palestine, Counselor Salem bin Habib Al-Amiri.

In turn, Major General Barakat welcomed this visit, which aims mainly at strengthening joint relations and exchanging experiences between the states of Palestine and the Sultanate of Oman.

Major General Barakat explained to Al-Amiri the mechanism of work of the customs police apparatus, which is focused on maintaining economic, food and health security, collecting revenues to supplement the state treasury, the stages of establishing and developing the apparatus, and the capabilities and logistics available to carry out the tasks entrusted to it.

For his part, Al-Amiri thanked Major General Barakat for the good reception and valued the efforts of the device, and pointed out the importance of strengthening joint relations and exchanging experiences and knowledge between the two states of Palestine and the Sultanate of Oman, and the need to support the device and develop it logistically and training through cooperation with the Palestinian Ministry of Interior.
