Ramallah _ 8/1/2023 The Commander of the Customs Police Service, Major General Iyad Barakat, received today, Sunday, in his office in Ramallah, the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Canada, Ms. Mona Abu Amara.
In turn, Major General Barakat welcomed this important visit, where he gave her an overview of the customs control apparatus and the nature of its work in protecting the national economy and providing food and health security for citizens in cooperation with partner agencies, and its role in implementing the government's economic and financial policies, and improving state revenues to support the public treasury.
For her part, Abu Emara thanked Major General / Barakat for the good reception and appreciated the efforts of the agency, and the important role it plays in protecting the national economy and the food and health security of citizens. The agency in terms of providing the courses necessary to develop the staff and providing logistical support to combat tax evasion and smuggling and protect markets.
