5/4/2023 Wednesday: The customs police department has dealt with 20 cases during the past hours.
The details of the cases that were seized were as follows:
_ 9 cases in cooperation with the competent authorities in the Ministries of National Economy and Health, as follows:
_ In Tubas, Ramallah, Salfit and Nablus, about 300 kilos of expired and unfit for consumption food items were seized, and they were destroyed.
_ In Bethlehem, 50 kilos of unfit fish were seized and destroyed.
One case, in cooperation with the competent authorities in the Ministry of Agriculture, was as follows:
_ In Ramallah, a number of olive trees were seized without an agricultural transport permit, and they were seized until legal procedures were completed.
Two cases, in cooperation with the competent authorities in the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, were as follows:
_ In Tulkarem and Nablus, 53 cell phones that did not meet the legal requirements were seized, and they were kept pending completion of the legal procedures.
- 8 cases in the field of tax and customs smuggling. Non-compliant taxpayers were referred to the Ministry of Finance to pay their tax obligations and settle their situation.
_ The agency intensifies its field and control efforts on shops and markets with the relevant partner authorities; To ensure the availability of basic commodities and the absence of any illegal substances in the markets, monitoring of commercial movement, safety of goods and commodities, and non-monopoly.
_ To report any smuggled, spoiled or imitated materials or price manipulation of products or monopoly, it is necessary to call the free number 132 or via the official page of the device on the social networking site (Facebook).
