Major General Iyad Barakat receives the Ambassador of the Republic of India to Palestine in his office in Ramallah

Ramallah _ 3/5/2023 The Commander of the Customs Police, Major General Iyad Barakat, received today, Wednesday, in his office in Ramallah, the Ambassador of the Republic of India to Palestine, Rino Yadev, and the Public Relations Officer at the Indian Embassy, Muhammad Issa Abu Shamsiyya, in order to enhance joint cooperation. And discussing the work mechanism to face the challenges and difficulties facing the customs control apparatus.
In turn, Major General Barakat welcomed this important visit, where he gave her an overview of the customs control apparatus and the nature of its work in protecting the national economy and providing food and health security for citizens in cooperation with partner agencies, and its role in implementing the government's economic and financial policies, and improving state revenues to support the public treasury.
Major General Barakat talked about the necessity of exchanging visits to the Republic of India to see the Indian experience in the field of customs and benefit from the experiences there.
For her part, Her Excellency Ambassador / Reno Yadav thanked Major General / Barakat for the good reception and stressed the importance of holding such meetings in order to develop and advance the apparatus in terms of providing the necessary courses for the development of the staff and providing the logistical capabilities to develop the performance of the apparatus to help it carry out its duty.
At the end of the meeting, the two sides exchanged souvenirs as a symbol of appreciation and cooperation
