4/5/2023 Thursday: The customs police apparatus has dealt with 18 cases during the past hours.
The details of the cases that were seized were as follows:
_ 8 cases in cooperation with the competent authorities in the Ministries of National Economy and Health, as follows:
_ In Nablus, 1170 kilos of milk were seized; Due to tampering with the production and expiry dates, it was seized until legal procedures were completed.
_ In Ramallah and Nablus, 150 kilos of expired and unfit food supplies were seized, and they were destroyed.
_ In Hebron, about 100 kilos of washing powder and energy drinks that did not conform to the relevant standard specifications were seized by the competent authority, and they were kept until legal procedures were completed.
_ In Bethlehem, 38 nutritional supplement packages were seized without a label in Arabic, and they were kept pending completion of legal procedures.
One case, in cooperation with the competent authorities in the Ministry of Agriculture, was as follows:
  _ In Jericho, 3,500 kilos of watermelons were seized without an agricultural transport permit, and they were kept until legal procedures were completed.
One case, in cooperation with the competent authorities in the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, was as follows:
_ In Hebron, a number of postal parcels coming from Israel that did not have the necessary licenses were seized by the competent authority, and they were seized until the legal procedures were completed.
- 8 cases in the field of tax and customs smuggling. Non-compliant taxpayers were referred to the Ministry of Finance to pay their tax obligations and settle their situation.
_ The agency intensifies its field and control efforts on shops and markets with the relevant partner authorities; To ensure the availability of basic commodities and the absence of any illegal substances in the markets, monitoring of commercial movement, safety of goods and commodities, and non-monopoly.
