The customs police receives the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Yitzhak Sidr, to discuss joint cooperation in Bethlehem
Ramallah _ 8/6/2023 The Deputy Director of the Customs Police in Bethlehem Governorate, Major Fadi Makharzeh, received today, Thursday, at the agency's headquarters in the governorate, the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Isaac Sidr.
Major Makharza welcomed this visit, and conveyed to His Excellency Minister Sidr the greetings of the Commander of the Customs Police, Major General Iyad Barakat.
For his part, Minister Sidr praised the great development in the work of the customs police apparatus, which is based on the spirit of partnership and the law, stressing that the customs police apparatus represents the fence of the national economy and works to protect the capabilities of our people.
In another context, the customs police, during its work at Al-Ubaidiya checkpoint, in the Bethlehem governorate, today, Thursday, seized a truck loaded with (58) sheep due to the fact that it did not obtain an agricultural transport permit and a veterinary certificate.
And by summoning the competent authority in the Directorate of Agriculture, it approved the reservation of the seized items until the completion of the legal procedures.
In a separate context, the Governor of Bethlehem Governorate, Major General Kamel Hamid, honored today, Thursday, the coordinators of the gender unit in the security institution in the governorate house; For their role in strengthening and supporting female and male members of the security establishment and for exercising their desired role and participation in maintaining security and order and in general social aspects.
