Customs police and partner agencies intensify inspection tours of markets in Bethlehem Governorate

Ramallah - 3/20/2024 The Customs Police, in cooperation with partner agencies, today, Wednesday, intensified inspection and surveillance rounds in markets and shops within Bethlehem Governorate. These tours coincide with the holy month of Ramadan, which witnesses intense commercial activity and an increase in the consumption of food and consumer products.
These tours aim to ensure that merchants do not exploit this period to manipulate prices, and to ensure the availability of basic goods at reasonable prices to citizens. The concerned authorities also seek to limit the presence of illegal and settlement products in the markets, and to ensure the safety of traded goods and commodities.
The Customs Police calls on citizens to submit reports if they spot any illegal products in the markets, by communicating via the toll-free number (132) or via social media sites.
