The State of Palestine Participates in the 43rd Session of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers

 

Minister of Interior Ziad Hab Al-Reeh participated today in the 43rd session of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers, held virtually, with the participation of Their Excellencies the Arab Interior Ministers.

Alongside the Minister, the meeting was attended by the Director General of the Preventive Security Service, the Commander of the Customs Police, the Director General of Police, the Director General of the Civil Defense, the Deputy Assistant Minister for Security Affairs, and the Head of the Arab and International Cooperation Unit at the Ministry of Interior.

In his address to the Council, Minister Hab Al-Reeh conveyed the greetings of His Excellency the President and His Excellency the Prime Minister to the Arab brothers and reviewed the developments in the region, emphasizing that the escalating military conflict casts a dangerous shadow on regional security and stability. He reiterated the State of Palestine's rejection of Iranian aggression against Arab states, which constitutes a violation of their sovereignty and security, and affirmed the State of Palestine's full solidarity with them, calling for a halt to the escalation and prioritizing political solutions. His Excellency pointed to the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip due to the ongoing aggression, calling for urgent action to deliver relief aid and initiate recovery and reconstruction plans. He also addressed the violations in the West Bank and Jerusalem, including settlement expansion, settler attacks, and the recent Israeli Knesset decision regarding the execution of prisoners.

In a related context, the Minister explained that the financial crisis resulting from the withholding of clearance revenues has exacerbated the challenges facing the Palestinian government. However, he affirmed that the government continues to fulfill its national duty of providing services to citizens, strengthening their resilience, maintaining security and public order, and protecting lives and property. He emphasized the importance of enhancing Arab cooperation and joint coordination to confront these challenges and consolidate stability in the region.
